Application

Apply Aspire Exterior clear in two medium wet coats, allowing at least 5-10 minutes’ flash time between each coat
 
Basecoat

Sand lightly between coats with 320 emery paper to denib. Dust off with dry cloth. This removes upstanding wood fibre ends and dust particles which could draw moisture in behind the film and shorten the life of the coating.

Topcoat

HVLP GUNS – 1.2 mm – 1.4mm tip 8-10 psi (output) CONVENTIONAL GUNS – 1.2mm – 1.6mm tip 40-50 psi

Application procedure:

NEW BARE TIMBER: Sand the wood to a uniform and a smooth surface. Ensure the wood is dry and free from dirt, dust, wax and oils.

PREVIOUSLY PAINTED, STAINED, OILED OR VARNISHED TIMBER: All paints and coatings that seal the surface of the wood should be thoroughly removed back to bare timber.

WEATHERED, GREY OR MOULDY TIMBER: Sand the wood back to a fresh surface and remove the sanding dust thoroughly.

PREVENTING THE WOOD COLOR FROM FADING: Use 1-2 coats of Sheenlac Exterior Penetrative Wood stain on bare wood. Then give 2 coats of Aspire Exterior base sealer followed by 1-2 coats of the topcoat.
 

Safety Precautions

1. Always keep paint out of reach of children.
2. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
3. If accidental contact with skin should occur, wash immediately with soap and water.
4. Take care to avoid contact with the eyes. In case of contact, immediately rinse the eyes with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
5. Harmful if swallowed. Seek medical attention and do not induce vomiting.
6. Do not smoke while painting.
7. Flammable. Store in a cool dry place away from heat and sparks.

Storage and Transportation: 

Do not store or transport the containers under direct sunlight or at elevated temperatures. Store the container in an upright position in order to avoid any leakage or damage

Shelf Life:
2 Years from the date of manufacturing in original tightly closed containers stored away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
